NCRTC

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint venture between the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan. It is the official implementing agency for the RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) projects across the National Capital Region. NCRTC owns and operates Rapidx, India’s first-of-its-kind high-speed regional rail network designed to improve regional connectivity and decongest urban transport.

As a government company, NCRTC is structured with 50% ownership by the Central Government and the remaining 50% equally shared among the four partner states (12.5% each). Its mission is to develop a fast, safe, and sustainable public transport system that supports economic growth and urban development across the NCR.

The Namo Bharat Train, officially known as the Delhi–Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System), is India’s first high-speed regional rail, offering fast, safe, and comfortable travel between Delhi and Meerut. Covering a total of 16 stations. With a top speed of 180 km/h, the Namo Bharat train ensures rapid connectivity across Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.

NCRTC has opened three new Food & Beverage outlets—Coca-Cola Happiness Station, Amul Parlour, and The Rapid Café—at Meerut South Namo Bharat station, expanding commuter amenities. With existing outlets at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar, and Duhai, this move underscores NCRTC’s focus on providing safe, tasty, and diverse food options. Plans are also underway to add more branded outlets, cafes, and convenience stores at stations along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor.
