As part of its ongoing efforts to improve passenger facilities along the Namo Bharat corridor, has launched three new Food and Beverage (F&B) outlets at the Meerut South Namo Bharat station. Commuters can now enjoy a variety of quality snacks and drinks at the newly opened Coca-Cola Happiness Station, Amul Parlour, and The Rapid Café.
Food and Beverage outlets are already serving passengers at key stations such as Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar, and Duhai. The introduction of these services at Meerut South station marks another step by NCRTC to enhance commuter comfort. All outlets are situated in the non-paid section of the station’s concourse level. Looking ahead, NCRTC plans to grow this network by partnering with more well-known brands.
The collaboration between NCRTC and renowned F&B brands highlights its dedication to offering safe, tasty, and dependable food choices for both commuters and nearby residents. These new outlets provide a diverse menu that includes items like lassi, buttermilk, ice creams, ghee, milk, chocolates, protein drinks, juices, and fresh sweets, along with popular fast-food options such as burgers, rolls, pizzas, and various beverages.
NCRTC aims not only to deliver swift and secure transportation through Namo Bharat but also to create a well-rounded and comfortable travel experience for its passengers. To support this goal, efforts are underway to introduce more outlets from leading FMCG and food brands in both paid and non-paid zones of the stations. Upcoming additions will include fast food joints, cafes, convenience stores, pharmacies, refreshment kiosks, bookstores, and lifestyle product shops across various stations.
At present, Namo Bharat trains are running between New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and Meerut South, covering a 55-kilometer stretch with 11 stations along the route. Recently, NCRTC successfully carried out a trial run of the full timetable on the entire 82 km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, spanning from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram in Meerut. During this test, the trains halted at every scheduled station and completed the journey in under an hour, maintaining the maximum operational speed of 160 km/h. Meerut Metro trains also operated alongside Namo Bharat during the trial, with all systems functioning flawlessly.
Passengers will soon be able to enjoy Namo Bharat services throughout the entire corridor, along with dedicated Local Meerut Services within the city. This integrated network will offer smooth connectivity and improved travel choices across the National Capital Region.
