The New Ashok Nagar to Begumpul stretch of the Namo Bharat corridor is designed to connect Delhi with the heart of Meerut as part of the Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
Currently, New Ashok Nagar Station in Delhi is operational, with Namo Bharat trains running at speeds of up to 180 km/h. However, the line is not yet connected to Begumpul, as Begumpul Station is still under construction.
Once completed, Begumpul will serve as a major hub in Meerut — featuring the city’s largest underground Namo Bharat station and becoming the only underground interchange offering facilities for both Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services, ensuring smooth and efficient connectivity for future commuters.
