The Delhi Meerut Namo Bharat Route Map is India’s first operational Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), designed to provide a world-class, high-speed rail connection between the National Capital and western Uttar Pradesh. Spanning 82.15 km, this revolutionary semi-high-speed rail line runs from Jangpura in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut, ensuring a fast, comfortable, and seamless journey in under one hour.
The corridor features a total of 16 modern stations, including two underground stations—Anand Vihar in Delhi and Begumpul in Meerut—one at-grade station (Duhai Depot), and 13 elevated stations strategically located to serve key residential, business, and industrial hubs. Two state-of-the-art maintenance depots at Duhai and Modipuram support smooth and efficient train operations.
Currently, about 55 km of the route from New Ashok Nagar (Delhi) to Meerut South is operational, covering 11 stations. Once fully complete, the corridor will enable passengers to travel between Delhi and Meerut at speeds of up to 160 km/h, drastically reducing travel time and easing congestion on existing road and rail networks.
