It is confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the pending Namo Bharat corridor, for which high-level preparations are already underway. The train will operate on an 82-kilometre route between Delhi and Meerut, connecting major stations such as Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar, and Sarai Kale Khan. This connectivity will make it much easier for passengers from Meerut and Ghaziabad to reach any part of the capital.
Sarai Kale Khan RRTS Station Opening Date – After several delays, the wait for Delhi’s commuters is about to end. The Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station is scheduled to be inaugurated in February 2026, along with the full launch of the Delhi–Meerut RRTS (Namo Bharat Rapid Rail) and Meerut Metro services. On 22nd February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially flag off the services in Meerut.
The service is set to launch along the 82-kilometer corridor from Sarai Kale Khan (Delhi) to Modipuram (Meerut). While successful trial runs have already been conducted up to Meerut South, this time the entire corridor will be opened for public travel.
