Gurugram to Greater Noida Route Overview

The Namo Bharat train will originate from IFFCO Chowk and travel through Millennium City Centre Metro Station, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Marg, and Brigadier Osman Chowk, cutting through the Aravalli mountain range before reaching the Gurugram–Faridabad Road near Gwal Pahari village.

From there, the route will continue via the Hanuman Temple area, Badkhal Enclave, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, and arrive at Bata Chowk. The corridor then extends through the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway and the Agra Canal, reaching Sector 85–86 (Amolik Chowk).

After passing near Amrita Hospital, it will merge onto the Faridabad–Noida–Gurugram Expressway, cross the Yamuna River, and reach Noida Sector 168. The line will move along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, pass beneath the Aqua Metro Line, cross the Hindon River, and finally enter Greater Noida, terminating at Surajpur.

The longest distance between two stations will be 25 km, between Gurugram Sector-54 and Bata Chowk. The shortest gap — 7.5 km — falls between IFFCO Chowk and Sector-54, and between Noida and Surajpur.

Gurugram Greater Noida Station List – All Stations to Be Elevated

Six elevated stations will be constructed along the corridor:

  • Gurugram: IFFCO Chowk, Sector-54
  • Faridabad: Bata Chowk, Sector-85/86
  • Noida: Sector-142/168
  • Greater Noida: Surajpur

All stations will follow a fully elevated design for seamless operations.

Projected Ridership

According to the DPR:

  • 2031: Approx. 3.84 lakh daily passengers
  • 2054: Expected to grow to 8.53 lakh passengers

Initially, the system will operate six-coach trains, with 10 trains in service. Each train can carry 1,928 passengers, including 408 seating capacity.

Land Requirement

The project will require around 75 hectares of land:

  • 41.8 hectares – privately owned land
  • 33.71 hectares – government land

Land acquisition alone is estimated to cost nearly ₹1,500 crore. The corridor will be powered through three 220 kV substations.

Tree Cutting & Plantation Plan

For construction, 5,655 trees will need to be cut. In compliance with environmental norms, 56,550 saplings will be planted as compensation. The combined cost of tree cutting and plantation is projected at ₹25 crore.

As per the DPR, about 18.2 km of the route will pass through the Aravalli mountain belt, requiring careful engineering and environmental planning.
