Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station in Meerut Now Ready – See Photos

The Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station is the fourth station of the Meerut Metro and the second Namo Bharat Station within the city. It is located in Shatabdi Nagar, Sector-5, MDA Area. The station code is A-13. Construction of the station has been fully completed — only the formal commencement of train operations remains.

The station is 215 meters long, 30 meters wide, and 15 meters high. It features two entry/exit gates and dedicated parking facilities for passengers. There are a total of four platformstwo platforms will serve the Namo Bharat corridor, while the other two platforms will cater to intra-city Namo Bharat services.

A Unique Station for Dual Operations

The Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station is unique because both intercity Namo Bharat trains and the intra-city Namo Bharat services will operate on the same infrastructure and tracks — the first experiment of its kind in India.

This integration will allow passengers within Meerut to enjoy rapid intercity and local Namo Bharat connectivity from a single station.

Shatabdi Nagar Station is located between Meerut South and Begumpul Stations on the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS Corridor. At present, the NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation) is conducting trial runs on this section.

Design and Connectivity

The Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station has three levelsStreet Level, Concourse Level, and Platform Level. From this station, passengers will have easy access to major areas of Meerut, including Brahampuri, Rail Vihar (Rithani), Panchvati Enclave, Supertech Palm Green, and nearby industrial zones. Once operational, the station will also offer great convenience to commuters travelling toward Hapur.

For power supply, the Shatabdi Nagar substation was fully activated on February 12, making it the first fully operational substation in Meerut city. In total, five substations have been set up by NCRTC along the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Corridor.

With the launch of the Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station, the rapid rail network will extend deeper into the heart of Meerut city.

Our Visit to Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station

We recently visited the Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station and, based on our observations, can confidently says that the station is ready to be fully operational. No construction work is pending, and once the necessary approvals are received, Namo Bharat trains can start running from here immediately.
